A Tradition Reimagined
A celebrated Erie name has returned to the dining scene, bringing generations of Italian tradition with it.
Owners Amanda Serafini and Opie Hughes have breathed new life into the Serafini family legacy with Serafini’s Trattoria, where time-honored recipes meet a fresh approach to Italian dining. The family’s culinary roots date back to 1938, and that history remains at the heart of the experience.
The famous Serafini’s Meatballs, Wedding Soup and made in-house pastas – all prepared from treasured family recipes – are a natural place to begin. Crispy Arancini, classic Margherita Pizza and inventive Italian Sushi showcase a menu that comfortably balances tradition with unexpected touches, all prepared with an emphasis on fresh, quality ingredients.
The setting is equally distinctive. Located in the historic Cashier’s House on State Street, the Trattoria combines the character of one of downtown Erie’s notable buildings with an inviting, refined atmosphere. A newly added courtyard extends the experience outdoors, offering another enticing spot to gather over dinner, wine and inventive cocktails. Enjoy live music on weekends.
At Serafini’s Trattoria, the past isn’t simply preserved – it’s thoughtfully brought forward, creating a new chapter in a family tradition nearly nine decades in the making.
