Adding Sizzle to State StreeT

El Amigo Mexican Grill, a family-owned restaurant, has added some sizzle to State Street. Offering the real taste of authentic Mexican cuisine and using first-rate ingredients, they make their food fresh daily – which includes the homemade tortillas. “We strive to provide all of our guests the most extraordinary experience possible, because customer satisfaction is a priority to us,” say new owners David Luna and Montse Vazquez. The complimentary basket of tortilla chips and delicious homemade salsa are perfect for munching while mulling over the extensive menu. This Mexican grill & cantina offers an outstanding selection of dishes such as fajitas, quesadillas, enchiladas, burritos and tostadas, as well as seafood, steak and grilled chicken. Opt for the Tableside Guacamole (at customer’s request); but take care to leave room for the plentiful entrées. Favorites here include the Chori Pollo, tender lean chicken breast topped with chorizo & melted cheese or Coctel de Camarones, perfectly prepared shrimp in a cocktail sauce with pico de gallo & avocado. Of course, no self-respecting Mexican restaurant would be worth its salt (pun intended) if it didn’t have margaritas…and theirs rank among the best! You can even order a michelada – one of the most refreshing and bracingly flavorful traditional drinks, a Mexican Bloody Mary if you will.

For dessert, don’t pass up the Pina Colada Cake!
